Upper Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

This procedure is also known as an upper blepharoplasty.

The aim of upper eyelid surgery is to lift the eyelid,  creating a more youthful yet natural appearance.

Upper eyelid surgery removes sagging skin and fat deposits (eyebags) under the eyes creating a rejuvenated, less “tired” looking appearance.  Upper eyelid surgery may also be combined with other surgical procedures such as a brow lift, facelift or rhinoplasty. (add links to page)

You may be a good candidate for upper eyelid surgery if :

  • You have excess skin obscuring the natural fold of the upper eyelids
  • You have loose upper eyelid skin that impairs your vision
  • You have a puffy appearance to the upper eyelids, making your eyes look tired

Upper eyelid surgery is performed at Lingard Private Hospital or Warners Bay Private Hospital. You will be in hospital for between 4-6 hours and will be discharged the same day.
